Press Releases |
EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA—Upside Software Inc., the leading provider of integrated enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software, announced today that it has been named a Rising Star on the 2004 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America. A special category, the Rising Star list ranks 25 winners that have been in business less than five years, but at least three years. They are ranked based on percentage of growth in revenues over three years (2001 to 2003). Upside Software was the only Canadian company on the 2004 Rising Stars list.
Upside Software’s CEO Ashif Mawji credits the company’s ability to effectively deliver exceptional value to our customers with the company’s 1,323% revenue growth over the past three years. He said, "We are very proud of our Rising Star ranking – this is a true sign of our strong customer relationships and focus and reinforces our leadership position in the contract lifecycle management software industry. In addition, we are
honoured to be the only Canadian company on the list and are hopeful to see more Canadian firms on the 2005 list!"
"It’s not easy for a young company to get traction in the technology marketplace let alone report such phenomenal revenue growth," said Mark A. Evans, national managing partner of Deloitte’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group. “It’s a credit to Upside Software’s leadership that they’ve managed to ramp up their business so quickly.”
The full Deloitte Fast 500 and Rising Star lists can be found at www.fast500.com (select the 2004 Technology Fast 500 Winners List and on the next page there will be a downloadable PDF).
Rising Star Qualifications

Entrants must also be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and a “technology company,” defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.
