EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA — Today, Upside Software Inc. announced it has been selected as a finalist for Microsoft Corp.’s Partner of the Year Award in Competing to Win: Database. Winners for the 2007 Microsoft Partner Program Awards, which recognize top Microsoft Partners delivering market-leading, Microsoft-based solutions, will be announced July 11 in Denver, Colorado at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.

Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of more than 1,800 entrants worldwide. The Competing to Win Partner of the Year: Database award recognizes partners who have won customers with SQL Server where database solution alternatives such as Oracle or MySQL were a consideration or a prior deployment. Solution categories include: Mission Critical Business Applications, Business Intelligence, OLTP, Web Data. The winning partner will have helped its customer better manage their business while securing an important market on the Microsoft platform. This award emphasizes business strategies and approaches that can reach and scale to a broad market.
