implementation options
Overview
Upside Software provides flexible implementation options to meet the requirements of any organization, from enterprise-wide deployments with deep integration to other systems, to scaled-down deployments for small and medium sized organizations.
Upside Software's products are completely web-based which enables
fast implementation. Our products do not require any client / PC software to be deployed – the only requirement is that each client has a web browser with access to the application server (i.e., Internet and / or corporate Intranet as appropriate).
This means that Upside Software can deploy enterprise-class solutions very quickly – typically in less than 40 days, depending on integration requirements – and UpsideContract-LITE deployments are even faster – in as little as 3 days.
To provide the highest level of flexibility, Upside Software offers several
hosting options. Upside Software's products can fit into any corporate IT environment easily, can be hosted by a third party, or can be delivered by an external application service provider (ASP). All options can be configured to deliver the level of integration expected by even the most complex customers.
Enterprise-wide Implementation
Implementation of Upside Software’s enterprise-class products typically involves integration with other systems and deployment to a broad and varied user community. Leveraging a structured methodology to address issues associated with large-scale deployments ensures success of the project and maximizes the value obtained by our customers from our products.
Upside Software’s implementation methodology for enterprise-class products provides a thorough understanding of the business, systems, and technical environment in which the software will be deployed ensuring we deliver the most effective deployment to maximize our customers' value.
This approach includes:
- Business process review and assessment
- Systems integration review and planning
- Technical environment review, assessment, and preparation
- Software deployment
- Business process, rules, workflow, and G/L mapping determination and implementation
- Support personnel and pilot user training
- Pilot (limited scale) deployment
- Pilot review and plan adjustment as required
- User deployment and training
- Post implementation review
An enterprise-wide implementation typically takes between 20 to 40 days depending on the scope and complexity of the project.
UpsideContract-LITE Implementation
Like Upside Software's other products, UpsideContract-LITE is completely web-based which enables a very fast implementation – in as little as 3 days in some cases.
And like our other products, UpsideContract-LITE can be integrated with other systems to maximize the value of automating your entire supply chain information and processes.
To ensure a successful UpsideContract-LITE implementation, while meeting the objectives of low cost and fast deployment, our enterprise-class software deployment methodology is tailored to each project, addressing all issues with a minimal number of steps.
Corporate Implementation
A Corporate Implementation of Upside Software’s products provides a specifically configured solution for each customer where the software is installed within the customer's IT environment. This approach ensures the highest level of data security and interoperability with other corporate systems.
Since our software products are based on industry standards and platforms they are easily implemented in any environment, integrating seamlessly with other systems to create the optimal solution which provides maximum value, while accelerating return on investment.
ASP / Hosted Implementation
A Hosted Implementation of Upside Software’s products provides the same flexibility as the Corporate Implementation while freeing the organization from issues associated with managing the technical environment. There are two approaches to a hosted implementation: (1) outsourced hosting or (2) application service provider (ASP) hosting.
- Upside Software can work with your existing outsourcer or hosting partner to effectively implement a solution or we can arrange hosting services directly – taking advantage of our world-class hosting partners. Through this approach, the Upside Software implementation is for your organization alone, maximizing your control over system performance and data security.
- An Application Service Provider (ASP) Implementation is the lowest cost alternative for a hosted implementation providing all the functionality of Upside Software's products as a service over the Internet. Because the software is running in a shared environment, the capital and operating costs are shared across multiple customers, substantially reducing the cost of implementing a solution.
The Hosted Implementation approach is ideal for small businesses that do not have the volume of transactions to justify the capital investment, and for larger organizations that recognize the value of outsourcing the technical administrative function.
