EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA—Upside Software Inc., an integrated enterprise contract management software provider, announced today the presenting of $250,000 to the Alberta Heart Institute Campaign.
“This generous donation is part of the community support that is helping to build one of North America's leading heart institutes," said Gary Mar, Minister of Alberta Health and Wellness. "The Alberta Heart Institute will not only advance cardiovascular care for Albertans and Western Canadians, but will also be a key centre for research and education into the prevention and treatment of heart disease."

About the Alberta Heart Institute
The Alberta Heart Institute is a new building being developed at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to expand:
- cardiac surgery and heart transplants,
- cardiology services,
- diagnostic testing (including a new cardiac catheterization lab), and
- research and education.
This centre of excellence will become one of North America's leading heart institutes, and will play a prominent role in the prevention and treatment of heart disease for Albertans and residents from other provinces and territories. The Alberta Heart Institute is currently in the design phase. Construction will begin in 2003, and the building is scheduled to open in 2005.
